Villa Magnolia

An excellently prime located villa in Areias de S. João reached by a cobbled stone lane only a short stroll away from the Oura beach, the «strip», and all the amenities.

Built in one level and with full air conditioning throughout included in the rental costs it comprises three twin bedrooms that stretch out from a hallway. Two of them are similar in design, have built-in wardrobes and woodpanelling covering the lower half of the walls, both gazing across the pleasant pool and garden. One of them has a video/tv set and crocheted bed covers, and a honey-coloured wicker chair with a couple of antique cushions that add a dash of warmth. The third bedroom is smaller and has an armoire filling one wall, besides a single settee-bed with extra pull out bed best suited to children, or young teenagers. These share a complete renovated ceramic tiled bathroom with hairdryer plus additional new extra shower room.

In the new kitchen and dining corner we find a granite top table and chairs forming a multiuse space with niches displaying arts and crafts collectibles. It’s equipped of a large fridge/freezer, full gas cooker with oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, and a washing machine. It also has iron and ironing board.

The open plan living room where blue and white are the dominant colours has a satellite tv and a faux bamboo seating area in front of the fire-place where hand painted mosaics featuring flowers above the chimney create the «look», and bring the whole room to vibrant life. Framed embroidery prints and brass lamps decorate the walls - an eclectic mix of old and new pieces kept in perfect harmony, and two built-in cushioned wall sofas can convert into a couple of extra beds.

The eye is drawn outside to a covered porch shaded by a large magnolia tree that brings song birds close by – supplied with a garden table and chairs it makes it a lovely setting for meals, or simply to relax and unwind out of the sun, creating an uninterrupted transition from inside to out. Additionally there’s a brick built barbecue by the side – ideal for summer time evening grills.

The outside area with hedged boundary and sensor-operated security lights includes a shower and a sizeable floodlit 9m x 4,5m swimming pool bordered by lawn that cannot be overlooked from other neighbouring properties offering a good degree of privacy.

Villa Magnolia gives you a wonderful combination of peace and quiet in a super central location handy for shops, several lively bars, and plenty of good restaurants.
